FEC Disclaimer
1. Platform Role
Knock AI, Inc. is a technology platform that provides software and marketplace services for political and advocacy campaigns. Knock AI is not a political committee, party committee, PAC, super PAC, or candidate committee as defined by the Federal Election Campaign Act (FECA) or state equivalents.
2. Customer Responsibility
Campaign customers—including candidates, committees, and advocacy organizations—are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local election laws, including FEC reporting requirements, contribution limits, disclaimer requirements on communications, and coordination rules.
3. No Coordination of Spending
Knock AI does not coordinate campaign spending, authorize expenditures on behalf of committees, or direct how customers allocate their budgets. Fees paid to Knock AI are for platform access and verified field services—not contributions to any candidate or committee.
4. Independent Contractors
Field agents on the platform operate as independent contractors. Knock AI does not control the political content of canvassing scripts beyond providing the technical means to distribute campaign-approved materials. Agents are not employees of Knock AI or of campaign customers for FEC purposes.
5. Paid-for-by Disclaimers
Campaign customers must ensure all paid communications delivered through or facilitated by the platform include required disclaimers (for example, a "Paid for by …" attribution naming the responsible committee) as mandated by FEC and state law. Knock AI is not responsible for missing or incorrect disclaimers on customer content.
6. Reporting
Customers must report platform fees and agent payouts in accordance with applicable disclosure schedules. Knock AI may provide transaction records to assist customers but does not file FEC reports on their behalf.
